My latest obession: Diapers!

Michael and I have pretty much decided that we will be cloth diapering Beany anytime he/she is not at daycare. (Daycare does not support cloth) I just booked our class to help us figure out the crazy world of cloth diapers. Kellie is doing a good job helping me get my feet wet as well! There is are so many many choices and they are so freaking cute!!

Class is at the end of May and then it is time to start shopping. Hard to believe they book that far out since it is not even March yet.

  1. I'm interested in cloth diapering (or at east attempting to with easy all-in-ones, like Bum Genius) but Tony absolutely refuses to even consider it. At least he's letting me buy the baby carriers I want with minimal complaint! I've already ordered my Ergo (thank you, babysteals.com - you should totally check the site out if you haven't- they post a deal of the day everyday) and will be ordering my Seepy Wrap soon. And we need to fill out our hospital registration packet and class selections soon because I keep forgetting!

  2. Blarg, that should say "Sleepy Wrap" not "seepy wrap".

  4. I am looking at the all in ones too. We are going to Diaper Lab in Somerville for a class in May. Maybe Michael can get Tony on board b/c Michael is really supportive of cloth diapers. I just wish we could send Beany to daycare in them. I am off to check out babysteals....

  5. Hi Kristin! Congrats again on the baby girl! Question-- what is the appeal of cloth diapers? Simply a question of curiosity and not a challenge. We were in cloth diapers as babies, but that's because in '84 they didn't have preemie sized disposables yet. My parents were so glad when we were able to fit "real" diapers. Some of the orignal clothe diapers are still in my mom's dustrag collection. Apparently they're the perfect texture for the TV screen. :)

Anyway, my first thought was that it's environmentally friendly, but I didn't know if there's a benefit to the baby. Hope your pregnancy continues to be smooth sailing!

    Hi, btw! :D
